2SLGBTQIA+ affirming

We respectfully acknowledge that our work touches lands covered by Treaties 4, 6, 7, and 8, as well as the longstanding territories of the Cree, Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), Nakota Sioux, Dene, Assiniboine, Saulteaux, and Stoney Nakoda Nations; the Métis Homeland; and various other Indigenous Nations whose traditional and contemporary stewardship encompasses the regions we serve.

We also honour the territories subject to Treaty 13, the Williams Treaties, and lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Mississaugas, and Huron-Wendat Nations in the east; and the unceded and traditional territories of the 14 Yukon First Nations—including the Kwanlin Dün, Ta’an Kwäch’än, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in, Vuntut Gwitchin, and Tlingit Peoples—in the north.

We recognize and appreciate the histories, wisdom, and continuous relationships with land, water, and community that Indigenous peoples maintain and share. This acknowledgment reflects our ongoing commitment to truth, reconciliation, and respectful engagement.
